The B&R X20CP3685 combines the modern Atom E3915 platform with three modular interface slots and controller redundancy support. It provides 512 MB LPDDR4 RAM, 1 GB onboard eMMC flash and a CompactFlash slot for flexible application storage.
Compared with the X20CP1685, the X20CP3685 retains the same processor, RAM and onboard flash but expands the controller from one to three interface slots and adds redundancy capability. It is intended for communication-intensive or higher-availability systems where the narrower X20CP1685 is insufficient.

FAQ
Q: What is the principal difference between X20CP3685 and X20CP1685?
A: The X20CP3685 has three modular interface slots and supports controller redundancy. The X20CP1685 has one slot and does not support redundancy.
Q: Does X20CP3685 provide both eMMC and CompactFlash?
A: Yes. It includes 1 GB onboard eMMC application memory and one CompactFlash slot.
Q: Is X20CP3685 faster than X20CP3585?
A: The comparison is application-dependent. X20CP3685 uses a newer Atom E3915 platform and LPDDR4 memory, while X20CP3585 uses a 1 GHz E640T processor and DDR2 memory. Software compatibility should be checked before substitution.
