The B&R X20PS9400 is the full-featured supply module for X20 bus controllers. It powers the controller, X2X Link electronics and internal I/O contacts while providing electrical isolation between the 24 VDC feed and the controller/X2X supply.
Unlike the lower-cost X20PS9402, the X20PS9400 supports parallel and redundant controller power. It also provides an RS232 service interface for terminal access and supports applications that require X2X supply expansion or bus-transmitter integration.

FAQ
Q: What is the main difference between X20PS9400 and X20PS9402?
A: X20PS9400 provides electrical isolation, parallel and redundant operation, and an RS232 service interface. X20PS9402 does not provide these functions.
Q: Which bus base is required?
A: X20BB80 is used for standard bus controllers. X20BB81 or X20BB82 is used when one or two expansion slots are required.
Q: Is the RS232 service connection on the power module?
A: Yes. The X20PS9400 provides an RS232 service interface through the separately ordered X20TB12 terminal block.
