The B&R X20AT6402 acquires six thermocouple signals and performs internal temperature linearization and terminal compensation. It supports types J, K, N, S, B and R, covering both standard machine heating zones and high-temperature furnace applications.
The module can output normalized temperature values at 0.1°C or 0.01°C resolution and can also provide direct raw millivolt measurements. Unlike X20AT4222, it is specifically designed for thermocouples rather than Pt100 or Pt1000 resistance sensors.

FAQ
Q: Does X20AT6402 support Type T or Type E thermocouples?
A: No. The specified sensor types are J, K, N, S, B and R.
Q: Is an external cold-junction compensation sensor required?
A: The module includes internal terminal temperature compensation.
Q: Can X20AT6402 replace X20AT4222?
A: No. X20AT6402 accepts thermocouples, while X20AT4222 is designed for Pt100 and Pt1000 RTD sensors.
