The TM5ACBM15 is a white Modicon TM5 bus base with integrated address-setting switches for compatible 24 V DC electronic modules.
It supports the electronic module and terminal block while carrying TM5 communication data, internal bus power and the 24 V DC I/O power segment through the station.
Its defining feature is manual address setting. This allows compatible TM5 modules to retain a configured physical address independently of their position where the system architecture supports address-based configuration.
TM5ACBM15 is not a power supply and does not increase the speed of the TM5 bus.
Key Features
Typical Applications
Address-Setting Function
The built-in address switches allow a compatible electronic module to use a manually assigned physical address.
This can help with:
The address must match the controller project configuration.
Power and Data Pass-Through
TM5ACBM15 carries three system connections:
TM5 Data Bus
Transfers module communication data.
TM5 Power Bus
Supplies internal electronic-module power.
24 V DC I/O Power Segment
Carries field-side power to compatible downstream modules.
The base does not generate or regulate any of these supplies.
Compatible Module Types
TM5ACBM15 is used with selected white 24 V DC electronic modules, including:
Compatibility must be confirmed from the assembly information for the exact electronic module.
TM5ACBM15 vs TM5ACBM11
TM5ACBM15
White bus base
24 V DC power segment pass-through
Includes address setting
TM5ACBM11
White bus base
24 V DC power segment pass-through
No address setting
The address-setting function is the main difference between these two bases.
TM5ACBM15 vs TM5ACBM05R
TM5ACBM15
White coding
Power segment passes through
Used with standard 24 V DC modules
TM5ACBM05R
Grey coding
Incoming I/O power segment isolated on the left
Used with PDM and receiver modules
Includes address setting
The two bases perform different power-segment functions and are not interchangeable.
TM5ACBM15 vs TM5ACBM12
TM5ACBM15
White base for compatible 24 V DC modules.
TM5ACBM12
Black base for compatible AC electronic modules.
Always match the base, electronic module and terminal block according to the approved color and compatibility table.
Complete TM5 Slice
A complete TM5 slice normally contains:
TM5ACBM15 alone does not provide digital or analog I/O channels.

FAQ
Q1: What is TM5ACBM15?
A1: It is a white Modicon TM5 bus base with manual address-setting switches for compatible 24 V DC electronic modules.
Q2: Does it improve TM5 communication speed?
A2: No. It carries the standard TM5 data bus. Its distinguishing feature is address setting, not higher communication speed.
Q3: Is it a 24 V DC power supply?
A3: No. It passes the existing 24 V DC I/O power segment through the slice but does not generate power.
Q4: What is the difference from TM5ACBM11?
A4: TM5ACBM15 includes address-setting switches, while TM5ACBM11 does not.
Q5: Does it isolate the incoming I/O power segment?
A5: No. The 24 V DC I/O power segment passes through from left to right.
Q6: Can it be used with TM5SPS2?
A6: No. TM5SPS2 uses a grey left-isolated base such as TM5ACBM01R or TM5ACBM05R.
Q7: Are the electronic module and terminal block included?
A7: No. TM5ACBM15 is normally supplied as the bus base only.
