The B&R X20AI2636 is a two-channel analog input module for the X20 automation system. It is designed to acquire voltage or current signals from machine sensors, transmitters, process instruments, and external measurement devices.

The main difference between X20AI2636 and the standard X20AI2632 module is its oversampling capability. X20AI2636 can capture up to 16 analog values per channel internally, making it suitable for machine applications where signal changes must be observed more frequently within an X2X Link cycle.
The module also provides a timestamp for the final conversion in each X2X Link cycle. This feature can help coordinate rapidly changing analog measurements with controller timing in high-speed automation applications.
