The ILM0701P01A0000 is a compact integrated servo motor combining the motor, electronic drive and position feedback functions in one field-mounted unit. Its single-stack 70 mm frame delivers 310 W nominal output power while reaching speeds up to 6000 rpm.
This configuration provides 0.5 Nm nominal torque, 1.1 Nm continuous stall torque and up to 3.5 Nm peak stall torque. It is particularly suitable for lightweight machine axes requiring fast acceleration, rapid repetitive movement and precise single-revolution position control.
Unlike variants equipped with a holding brake, this model uses a brake-free design that reduces mechanical complexity and rotational mass. It is best suited to horizontal axes or applications where the load cannot fall or move after power is removed.
The motor also uses a smooth 11 mm shaft and an absolute single-turn SinCos encoder with 128 feedback periods per revolution. These features distinguish it from keyed-shaft, brake-equipped and multi-turn feedback configurations.
| Configuration Feature | ILM0701P01A0000 Specification | Application Effect |
| Motor Construction | Single Stack | Compact body and lower moving mass |
| Output Power | 310 W | Suitable for small machine axes |
| Maximum Speed | 6000 rpm | Supports rapid cyclic movement |
| Encoder | Absolute Single-Turn | Retains position within one shaft revolution |
| Holding Brake | Not Included | Recommended for horizontal or mechanically supported axes |
| Shaft | Smooth and Untapped | Suitable for clamp-style couplings |
| Protection Level | IP54 | Intended for protected industrial machine environments |
The combination of a low-inertia rotor, 6000 rpm speed and 3.5 Nm peak torque supports rapid acceleration and deceleration in repetitive machine cycles.
The integrated electronic drive reduces the number of individual servo amplifiers required inside the control cabinet. This can simplify modular machine construction and reduce cabinet space.
The single-turn absolute encoder provides the absolute angular position within one motor revolution after startup. This is useful for short indexing movements and repetitive positioning tasks.
The smooth 11 mm shaft is designed for use with a correctly sized clamp coupling. This configuration avoids the backlash that can occur with poorly fitted keyed connections.
This motor includes integrated drive electronics but still requires a compatible system power supply, motion controller, distribution hardware and connection cables. It is not a standalone motor that can be connected directly to a conventional AC supply.
Because the motor does not include a holding brake, it should not be used as the sole holding device on an unsupported vertical axis. Select a brake-equipped configuration or provide an independent mechanical holding system when the load could fall after power removal.
The single-turn encoder retains absolute position only within one shaft revolution. Applications that must retain the number of completed revolutions after shutdown may require a multi-turn feedback configuration or a separate homing procedure.
Use a correctly sized clamp coupling for the smooth shaft. Confirm shaft alignment, radial load, axial load and coupling balance before operating the motor at high speed.
IP54 protection does not make the motor suitable for direct high-pressure washdown. Additional guarding may be required in wet, dusty or contaminated environments.
The nominal output power is 310 W.
The nominal operating torque is 0.5 Nm. The motor can provide a continuous stall torque of 1.1 Nm under the specified thermal conditions.
The peak stall torque is 3.5 Nm. Peak torque is available only for short acceleration or dynamic load periods and should not be treated as continuous torque.
The specified nominal speed is 6000 rpm.
No. ILM0701P01A0000 is a brake-free configuration.
It can only be used when the vertical load is independently supported. The motor does not include a brake to hold the load after power is removed.
It uses an absolute single-turn SinCos encoder with 128 feedback periods per revolution.
No. It identifies the absolute position within one revolution but does not retain the number of completed revolutions. Multi-turn applications may require homing or a different feedback configuration.
No. It has a smooth, untapped shaft measuring 11 mm in diameter and 23 mm in length.
It uses an international-standard 70 × 70 mm mounting flange.
No. A compatible motion controller, power supply, distribution hardware and hybrid connection cables are required.
IP54 provides limited protection against dust entry and splashing water. It does not provide protection against immersion or high-pressure cleaning.
Not necessarily. Verify the flange, shaft diameter, shaft length, feedback type, brake configuration, cable connection and controller compatibility before replacement.
It is most suitable for compact horizontal axes requiring low inertia, high speed, rapid acceleration and precise repetitive positioning.
