Description

B&R X20PS9402 Compact Bus Controller Power Supply

The B&R X20PS9402 is a compact, cost-oriented power supply for smaller X20 bus-controller stations. It supplies the bus controller, X2X Link electronics and internal I/O contacts from a 24 VDC input.

Compared with the X20PS9400, the X20PS9402 does not electrically isolate the controller/X2X output and cannot be connected in parallel for redundancy. It is intended for smaller stations that do not require bus transmitters or additional X2X supply modules.

Q: Can X20PS9402 be used for redundant power?

A: No. Parallel and redundant controller/X2X operation are not supported.

Q: Can an X20PS3300 be added to expand the X2X supply?

A: No. B&R specifies that X2X expansion using X20PS3300 or X20PS3310 is not permitted with X20PS9402.

Q: When should X20PS9400 be selected instead?

A: Select X20PS9400 when isolation, redundancy, an RS232 service interface, a bus transmitter or expanded X2X power is required.
